Neon signs buzzed overhead, illuminating the dark alleyway. Lexie walked through the streets, his usual police officer attire replaced by civilian clothing. It consisted of shirt and pants, leaving his bare paws exposed to the concrete ground. The smell of liquor, smoke, and worse made his nose scrunch up. A metal briefcase, filled with credits, felt heavy in his hand. To be exchanged for an illegal cyber trip program, a device to give artificial lifeforms a very strong high. He walked side by side with a fellow officer, a hairless humanoid with bright red skin and curling horns.
“You sure about this, Lexie?”
The rabbit could only sigh. This officer was not cut out for undercover work, but with his cybernetic eye he would be able to record the deal and help convict Ikor. The false eye looked natural and only an advanced scan would be able to show it as false. Likewise part of his arm was cybernetic, allowing a small weapon to be hidden inside, covered in synthetic skin. If they Ikor him in custody he could lead them further up the chain to the Trake or even some information on the Syndicate. However they'd get nothing if his partner lost his cool.
“Just stand there and look tough. Don't say anything and let me lead. If things go real bad we have a squad ready to bust in.”
The partner seemed to calm down at this, the smaller male’s cold demeanor reassuring him. The two entered an apartment complex. It was dingy and smelled of something foul. The duo walked up the stairway to the third flood, neither trusting in the elevator in such a place. Lexie made his way to the agreed upon room. He knocked in a specified pattern. Creaking floorboards were heard as the door slid open.
A massive reptile towered over Lexie, his immense frame barely fitting in the door frame. His muscles were bulky, barely fitting in his tight black shirt. He glared down at Leixe, who didn't flinch even as he had to crane his neck to meet his gaze. The rabbit could recognize this man from his mugshots. This was Brutus, muscle for hire who's more than happy to do anything if the price is right. He had no current warrants for his arrest, the last case he was caught up in got dismissed in court. The thought alone made the rabbit’s stomach turn, but he did feel more of a sense of satisfaction that he would get evidence of him here.
Lexie made it inside, but was blocked by the lizard's massive hand. He leaned forward, eyeing up both sides of the hallway for anyone else. “Who’s your friend?” He asked, gesturing to the horned officer.
Before the nervous man could talk Lexie spoke up. “Muscle. I’m carrying a lot of credits, and you're holding them up.”
Despite himself Brutus had to respect the rabbit’s spirit. He held his hand in place for a moment more, if only to assert his authority. Finally he stepped aside, keeping a side on the two newcomers.
“Ah yes, welcome!” A new voice cried out. A short and stout, almost as wide as he was tall. His skin was eerily featureless and his mouth split into a toothy grin. “Don't mind my associate, he takes his job very seriously.”
The large lizard didn't speak, only crossed his arms and moved to stand besides his charge. Lexie could see a heavy solid slug pistol at the large man’s hip. It was a very large caliber gun and able to fire a wide variety of ammunition, none of which the officer was keen to see in action. The two stood in front of a dingy desk. It was the sole piece of furniture in the apartment. The only thing that wasn't dirty was a window to the outside. Lexie cringed at the idea of anyone living in such a place. The short man placed a small metal box on the table.
“Let's see that money.”
“Lets see the program first.” Lexie stated dryly.
“Uh uh.” The smooth skin said, wagging his finger. “Credits first.”
Lexie eyed both of them. In truth he did not care about the order of operations, he just had to complete the deal to get a conviction. The rabbit complied, placing the case on the desk and opening it.
The smaller man nodded to Brutus, who fingered through the case’s contents to count it.
“A formality, you understand.” The short man stated.
Lexie gave a glance to his companion, who looked to be sweating bullets. As much as the rabbit hated to think it, he wished he could have had that mercenary Cyrus here. At least he wasn't one to lose his cool.
“All there, boss.” The lizard said plainly, shutting the case.
“Ah ha! Lovely!” The small man stated, placing one hand on the box’s lid. “Now what you came here for, some real prime-”
He was cut short when Brutus placed a hand on the box, keeping it shut. “Hold it.”
He looked at the horned officer. “Look me in the eye.”
The cyborg faltered. He was sure he was caught. He attempted to look anywhere else, but a snarl from the lizard forced his attention to him. The two kept eye contact for some time, Brutus unflinching.
The silence was broken when the officer finally snapped, shouting in an almost shrill voice. “GPD, on the ground!” His robotic arm splitting open to reveal a blaster hidden inside. Brutus wasted no time, keeping his grip on the small iron box and kicking the table forward. Lexie and the red officer were propelled backwards and crashed into the wall.
At that one of the walls of the apartment blew open, with several heavily armored riot officers storming in. Each had an electro prod, a lance with a high voltage tip designed to non lethally incapacity any organism or robot. The officers ran in, yelling for the men to surrender. The shorter man snapped his box from Brutus and cowered in the corner of the room.
The large lizard backed off from the officers. He was confident in his strength, but knew the power the lances had. He quickly reached for his hip, pulling out the pistol. One officer thrust the prod at his wrist, forcing the muscles in his hand to spasm and let the weapon clatter to the ground. The jolt of pain enraged the lizard, letting out a guttural roar. He reached his other hand at the officer’s ankle, gripping it tightly and lifting him upside down. The other officers piled in, each thrusting their lances wherever possible. Brutus twisted his body quickly, never allowing a lance to stay long enough to immobilize him. He used the cop he had in his hand as a makeshift club, the full weight of a fully armored man giving each swing impressive force.
Lexie coughed , feeling his chest would be sore for a while from the table’s impact. He looked at the cyborg and saw he was breathing but knocked out, seemingly having taken most of the force of the blow. When he fully regained his senses he looked up and saw a scene of chaos. Brutus had knocked over the last officer, tossing his makeshift weapon aside. He then picked up the smaller criminal, carrying him under his arm.
“The credits!” the smooth skin cried.
“No time. Hold on.”
At that Brutus threw a shoulder at the window and crashed through it, glass and wall. The shorter man screamed as they fell until they hit the ground with an earth shattering thud.
Lexie stood up, looking down over the newly formed hole. He was surprised to see Brutus, still carrying the smaller man, running off through the alley ways. Lexie looked around and saw every fellow officer incapacitated. He knew he would be on his own here. Climbing down quickly he got to the ground floor and gave chase.
The giant’s footsteps were easy to follow, even without Lexie’s heightened hearing. He caught up and found the two of them facing a metal slide door. The shorter man was struggling to quickly put in the pass code, nerves over taking him. They were at the end of a wide alley. Brutus turned and saw Lexie and in frustration jammed his fingers into the slit of the doorway and forced it open.
“Go to the ship. I’ll hold off the little rabbit.” Brutus barked out.
“You're a great guy! We will get you a great lawyer, don't you worry!” The shorter man yammered as he ran through the broken doorway.
Lexie stood tall and looked the lizard in the eye. “Stand aside and maybe I can see about reducing your sentence.”
Brutus let out a mirthless chuckle. “You like to make deals? How about this, you get lost and I won't break you in half, little rabbit.”
The officer knew that wouldn't work, but had to try it. He got down low, and tried to sprint past the larger man. His body was through the doorway when he felt an iron grip on his leg. All of his forward momentum was stopped and he felt himself being flung through the air. He crashed into a pile of garbage, which did much to cushion his fall.
Lexie got to his feet, definitely looking at the lizard.
“You won't be getting by me that easily.”
The officer took up a fighting stance, which Brutus met with an eager smile. “Keep me entertained, little rabbit.”
Lexie eyed up his opponent, hoping to think up something that would give him an edge. The lizard was twice as tall as him and four times as heavy by the looks of it. His body bulged with bulky muscles that flexed with every little movement. The rabbit could also see that his shirt and pants had taken some damage, revealing more of his body. A section of his inner thigh was exposed, as well as a good section of his chest to show off his chest. His pectoral muscles were huge, no doubt firm yet soft to the touch. He could help but imagine the feeling of rubbing his hands across them, squeezing them to give them a proper groping.
Lexie had to shake his head to get his mind off lewd things. It had been way too long since he visited his girlfriend.
The rabbit tried to ignore the tightening sensation in his pants and he dashed forward, throwing a punch at the criminal’s midsection. The blow landed harmlessly, only producing a harmless thud as his fist met the muscles covering hit stomach. Brutus extended a open hand to try to grab his opponent, but the rabbit nearley dodged the attempt. Lexie kept trying to find a good opening, only able to launch helpless punches that served to annoy the larger man.
He growled, while the blows did not hurt it was infuriating that he could not land a solid hit on the smaller man. In frustration he swept his arm wide, barely managing to snag the rabbit’s shirt. It was enough to get a grip and he used his other arm to clasp around his throat. With a large toothy grin Brutus easily lifted the officer off his feet and into the air. Lexie tried to stop his upward ascent by clutching at his foe, only managing to rip off what was left of the lizard’s shirt.
Brutus did not care about the loss of his garment, taking a few steps forward to press the officer against the hard brink wall of the alleyway. He started to clench his fingers, strangling the rabbit. Lexie could feel the pressure on his neck and knew he had no hope to pry the reptile's grip off of him. He pressed the flat of his feet against the wall and sprung out as hard as he could. This swung his bottom half upward and in a strength borne from desperation he kicked the larger man in the jaw with all his might.
As a Lepus his legs were the strongest parts of his body. The blow rattled Brutus’s teeth and he was forced to let go as he stumbled back. The rabbit fell to the ground, quickly spinning on his heels to twist his body and deliver a powerful kick to the brute’s stomach. He exhaled all the air in his lungs as the force hit him like a sledgehammer. Lexie moved to capitalize on this, but Brutus summoned his strength to lunge forward, slamming his body atop him and pinning him.
Brutus snickered as he could feel the rabbit struggle under him, the smaller man’s face between his pectoral muscles. He pushed up, leaving the area below the rabbit’s legs pinned.
“Not so slippery now, little rabbit.”
Lexie did his best to push his way out from under the giant, but could not manage to wedge himself free. His hands pressed against the chest of the reptile, feeling the firm feeling of his large flexing pectoral muscles. He was stunned into inaction for a moment.
“Looks like we are going to add public indecency to your rap sheet.”
Brutus blinked. “I am male, those are not boobs.”
“Huh, all right then.” His fingers flexed, digging into the spongy flesh. “What size are these monsters anyway?”
Again, Brutus was stunned into silence. He was brought back to reality when he felt something poking his stomach. Without thinking he raised himself to look. Lexie took advantage, crawling away and to safety. He could not fail to see the tenting in his pants. Truly he needed to see his girlfriend again as soon as possible.
The lizard got to his feet. “Are we still fighting?”
Lexie’s face stayed stoic but his blush revealed his embarrassment. “Yes, just ignore that.” The two resumed their battle, but the rabbit was struggling to fight properly with his excitement still showing.
Brutus snickered. “I see that the police do not use large weapons.”
The officer got angry, shouting his indignation. “Stop looking at my crotch, pervert!”
He shot his powerful leg between that of the reptile. Lexie was surprised by the size of the criminal, but was satisfied that he managed to land his foot between the larger male’s sac, hitting both of his testicles on one solid swing. Immediately Brutus felt the effect, groaning in agony and falling to his knees and cradling his aching manhood.
Lexie sprung to action, leaping and locking his legs around the neck of the criminal. Brutus felt the powerful thigh muscles clamping around his throat, cutting off blood flow. He tried to pry the rabbit off, but the kick had robbed him of much of his strength to resist. Rapidly his vision faded as consciousness left him. The last thing he could feel was a familiar poking at his chin.
When Brutus awoke he felt the familiar cold steel of magnetic handcuffs on his wrists. Looking around he could see many nervous looking riot officers. He groaned, still feeling sore. The career criminal knew all he had to do now was to keep his mouth shut and wait for his bosses to get him out. He knew he had proven himself useful in denying the authorities any evidence and they could use against his boss.
Lexie’s faithful robot sidekick, CBT hovered helpfully besides the officer.
Its singular eye focused on its partner. “Ready to make a report?”
The rabbit was already walking away from the crime scene, leaving his cyborg partner and fellow officers to clean things up. His mind was focused on one thing only. “CBT, make arrangements for me to meet up with my girlfriend.”
The robot took on a jovial tone. “I assume it's an urgent matter. I am sure Monica will be delighted to see you so enthusiastic. The usual seedy hotel then?”
“Please, and let her know I am more than willing to test out any new products she has.”
